This Women’s Self-Defense Workshop is a basic introduction to hand-to-hand defenses and non-lethal weapons. This is an interactive 90-minute workshop. We will go over basic strikes and combinations, using training bags to practice. Teaming up with Independent Damsel in Defense Pro Stun Gun Jen (learn more about Jen here), we learn about stun guns, pepper spray, and pressure point tools.
People come to Self-Defense classes for many different reasons. In this women’s self defense workshop we try to create a Brave space, not just a safe space. We know that it is impossible to create a completely safe space for every person. Our goal is to create an environment of support, respect, and learning.
This workshop is taught by women for women and is focused on the experience of those conditioned as women. I welcome anyone who identifies as a women or femme in any way that is important to you.
This class is offered on a sliding scale in order to reach as many as possible. Click here to find out more about justice pricing sliding scales.

I also offer blocks of private Self Defense lessons. If you wish to train independently from the group setting or wish to continue training after the introductory workshop, please contact me directly to set up private lessons at EmbodiedPaths@gmail.com
*This Self Defense Class is focused on the experience of women. I welcome anyone who identifies as a women or femme in any way that is important to you, as well as anyone else who may hold less assigned gender power. This includes all those who self-identify as being oppressed by misogyny. I base my thoughts here on the work of Bear Hebert and Rachel Ricketts
